For over 41 years Susan Rice has been making people laugh. Starting in 1983, by 1986 she was living in Los Angeles and performing in comedy clubs all over the country. Her hard work paid off in 1989 when she got her first national credit on George Shlatter’s Comedy Club, Showtime Comedy All Stars and Comedy Central. 

In the beginning of 2024 Susan’s life changed when she got invited by “ Don’t Tell Comedy” to film a 10 min set. The video's have garnered over 100M views on social media.

This series of workshops meets each week on Saturdays from 12pm-2pm beginning April 26. The classes will take place on the following dates April 26, May 3, May 10, May 17, May 24, and final class is June 7. The classes will culminate with the student showcase on Saturday June 14 in front of a live audience in the Main Room @ Mic Drop Comedy.

Passions for building communities and creating strong representations of Caribbean descendants in mainstream culture are what give comedian Majah Hype his secret sauce. Using his experiences growing up in Newark, Bill Bellamy started doing stand-up while he was a student at Rutgers University. Bellamy quickly discovered how much he enjoyed making people laugh, and began honing his skills at small comedy clubs around the country and was soon making waves in the New York clubs like The Improv, The Comic Strip, and at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

Two short years later, Bellamy earned a spot on HBO’s DEF COMEDY JAM where he notoriously coined the phrase “Booty Call.” The now famous late-night rendez-vous moniker became the name for his first comedy special for Showtime; “Booty Call” and it was instantly one of the network’s top-rated specials. Kalea McNeill is an actor/standup comedian from the bay area. She gained a love for performance at an early age through various plays, oratorical competitions, and community events. She graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a BA in Theatre Arts and made the move to Los Angeles to pursue her career.

She is most known for her recurring character "Hanifa Downey" on CW’s Crazy Ex Girlfriend (season 4), and various television guest spots. After teaching high school for 12 years, Cory Michaelis "retired" to do comedy full time because he wanted to try out both of the lowest paying jobs in America. Now in his 12th year as a comedian (he's not THAT old...there was some overlap)

Cory has a Dry Bar Comedy Special - "Bad Teacher" - that snagged over 70 million views. His debut album - "The Collage Dropout" - was released by 800 Lb. Gorilla Records and charted at #2 on iTunes & Billboard (because it was the only album released that week).
