Where are you located?
We are conveniently located in Kearney Mesa directly off of the 163 on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Our venue has an ample amount of free parking on site, although, we do ask that you carpool whenever possible to allow parking spots for all of our guests.
When do doors open?
Doors open 60 minutes prior to every show. You are welcome to get there earlier and enjoy a cocktail on our beautiful patio.
What are your box office hours?
What is the difference between the Main Showroom and Gold Room?
Our Main Showroom is our larger showroom with over 200 seats and is highlighted in purple on the ticketing calendar. The Gold Room is a more intimate setting and gives you an opportunity to see a comic in a completely unique setting. It holds 50 seats and is highlighted in gold on the ticketing calendar. Both rooms have been designed with optimal seating, top of the line audio and visual equipment, and the overall comedy experience in mind.
What is your seating like?
At Mic Drop there isn’t a bad seat in the venue, seriously not 1! Each of our showrooms have been designed with that in mind. We do have a few rules to take into consideration.
- Seating is on a first come first served basis.
- Our staff will seat you upon arrival strategically for an optimal experience. Seating begins close to the stage and then fans out.
- You may be sat with another couple or group.
- Handicap seating available! Please contact us at info@micdropcomedy.com prior to the event.
- Doors will close 15 minutes after the start of an event to avoid disrupting the show.
Do you serve food?
We have tried to put a twist on the normal comedy club fare. Think Alice & Wonderland meets Cheech & Chong… we hope that you’ll enjoy what we’ve dreamt up. We also have delicious vegan and gluten free options.
Do you have a drink or item minimum?
Unlike every comedy club since the beginning of time we DO NOT have any drink or item minimum. At Mic Drop we believe that we are all adults capable of making our own decisions. We also believe that our menu is so cool that you will want to order 3 items!
Is your venue available for private parties or a meeting space?
Absolutely! Mic Drop specializes in event production and hospitality. Our facility is available for private, daytime, and corporate events. Some options include holiday parties (with or without private comedians) networking events, celebrations, company meeting space, BNI groups, award ceremonies, fundraisers, and more. Can you accommodate large groups for shows?

Why are some shows labeled “SPECIAL PRESENTATION”?
SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS shows feature celebrity talent. We do not offer any group rates, honor any passes, or offer discounts of any kind. Purchase tickets early to avoid your favorite comedian selling out!

Can I take pictures at the show?
We encourage you to take pictures throughout the venue BEFORE AND AFTER the show (tag us @micdropcomedysandiego). During the show the use of cellphones and taking pictures is strictly prohibited. Management will approach your table to kindly let you know, please be nice!
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable. Our team will do our best to re-schedule you in the event of emergencies causing you to miss the show. If a show is cancelled for whatever reason you will be contacted by management as soon as possible.
Is there an age limit to attend a show at Mic Drop Comedy?
You must be at least 21 years old to attend an event.
Third Party Ticketing:
BE AWARE OF RESELLERS! Mic Drop will NOT accept tickets bought or sold through third parties sites. Third party ticket purchases will result in denied admission. This includes, but is not limited to, the following sites: Craigslist, Vivid Seats, Seat Geek, Cheap Tickets, Ticketmaster,Stubhub and/or any site that is not MicDropComedy.com or one of our affiliates.
Wait Lists:
In the event that an event is sold out, our Box Office will create a wait-list an hour prior to showtime. Open seats will be available first come, first serve and available for purchase 15 minutes after the start of the show. Please check in with our Box Office upon arrival to receive your place in line.
